	Award No. 231 : Paphiopedilum Tawny Blush HCC/SAOC 75% (P. Tafelrose x P. Sarella) Judged by TOS on 26 July 1981 Ns 109 mm; Ds 92 x 65 mm; Ps 48 x 69 mm; Ss 63 x 60mm; Pouch 34 x 60 mm. A Paph Hellas type flower, coppery-orange in colour with a nice wide white border on the dorsal sepal. Petals were bicoloured, a greenish-bronze and yellow. Tafelrose x P.Blondel cv Citrus) Judged by TOS on 26 August 1982 Ns 112 mm; Ds 90 x 68 mm; Ps 48 x 62 mm; Ss 65 x 55 mm ; Pouch 32 x 52 mm. One attractive flower held on a relatively short stem. Interesting colour combination. Good texture. One spike with one flower. Spike 110mm tall. RHS chart: 155A and 6A with 187A and 184C. 	Award No. 187 : Paphiopedilum Playgirl cv Witrivier. HCC/SAOC 79% (P.Amanda cv Joyance x P Canasta cv Lupin) Judged at Judges Forum on 28 July 1981. Ns 112 mm; Ds 93 x 75 mm; Ps 52 x 69 mm; Ss 77 x 52 mm ; Pouch 33 x 56 mm. The brushed red flower was of round conformation. Petals very wavy. Pouch not absolutely symmetrical. Petals bicoloured. CBR 76 %, CHI 76 % A species from Guatemala Judged by TOS on 26 August 1982 Ns 120 mm; Ds 37 x 65 mm; Ps 30 x 45 mm; Ls 35 x 70 mm ; Lip 16 x 35 mm. One crystalline white flower on one 130 mm stem. A charming Odontioda of considerable delicacy and colour. Flowers of above average size with a crystalline texture.Nine flowers and three buds on one spike, that was 280 mm long. 	Award No.144 : Paphiopedilum Mandy-Lu cv Witrivier HCC/SAOC 77% (P.Lucid x P Amanda) Judged by TOS on 2 August 1982 Ns 98 mm; Ds 92 x 70 mm; Ps 57 x 71 mm; Ss 32 x 66 mm ; Lip 30 x 55 mm. A shapely, good sized flower, well held on a stem of good length. Flowers has considerable appeal. The stem was 132 mm long. One flower. RHS Chart - Petals 178B with lower half 174B and edge of 154A.
